  1. Book Talk
After reading a novel independently, you will prepare a book talk for the class. Your talk may be verbal (you can use notecards to speak in front of the class) or digital (such as a Voicethread or a PowerPoint). Your talk should last about five minutes.
    Your book talk must include:
    - The title and author
    - The type of fiction (suspense, realistic, science fiction, fantasy, historical, mystery, etc.)
    - The setting
    - A description of the main character(s)
Pick five questions/activities from below to answer in your book talk:
How does this book relate to the world around me?
How did this book remind me of something that’s happened to me before?
How has this book changed my thinking?
How does this book remind me of something I have read before?
Why did I choose this book?
What problems did the character face that I can relate to?
Why was the setting important to this book?
Read a passage aloud and tell why it was your favorite part.
Read a passage aloud and tell why it was a turning point for the book.
What does the main character learn about himself/herself?

Due: The week of Dec. 12-16
