    Your review must include:

    1. A completed graphic organizer (a copy will be given to you to complete)

    2. The book’s title (underlined or in italics)

    3. The author of the book

    4. A description of the main characters (include at least two quotations from a character somewhere in the review)

    5. A detailed description of the setting (include the time period from American history, the places, and the years)

    6. A few events from the plot (Be very specific – use lots of details from the novel; use your timeline to help you.)

    7. The audience for whom the book is intended

    8. Whether you loved or hated the book and why

    9. Persuasive writing to convince someone to read or avoid the book

This assignment is due Monday, Oct. 19

    TIPS:
    • If you liked the book, you might want to recommend other books by this author. • You may want to list any awards the book has received.
    • Look over the examples of book reviews that I’ve given you. Try to write your review in a similar manner.
    • Use proper spelling and grammar (this is language arts class, after all! ☺)

  4. Lily,
You're off to a great start!!!
    1. Include the author in the first sentence. By the way, you might want to make this your second sentence. Start with a question to grab the reader's attention.
    2. after "lunatic mess" put a comma
    3. Start a new paragrpah when you begin describing Gram & Gramps
    4. Start a new paragraph when you start the setting
    5. Explain why Gram makes the snake comment
    6. Start a new paragrahp for the audience
    7. Get rid of "let's leave it at that."

** I hope this helps! Like you requested, I did not publish what you wrote.
You're on my blog more than me! Thanks for being such a faithful writer on it!!! See you Monday.
