The main characters are:

Mama
Miguel
Hortensia
Alfonso
Isabel
Can anyone else think of a MAIN character I've left off the list???
What about Tio' Luis and Esparanzas other uncle and Senior Rodriegez.

ReplyDeleteI dislike this book because it shows that anything can happen to ruin your life. This is definitely not a good message for young children. Anyway why would anyone want to be like esperanza? She is a selfish self obsorverd person who is not grateful anything

ReplyDeleteI ABSOLUTELY LOVE Esperanza Rising! It is probably one of the best books I have EVER read. When I first saw the book I remembered when I was in 3rd grade and I saw that book and didn't think I was going to like it! But, as they say "Never judge a book by its cover" so, when I saw it I thought, "UGGGHHH" and then we started reading it and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!!! I definitely dont agree with Anonymous...or as Josef says, Hunter! :) Thanks for sharing this book with us...I loved it!
