Caitlyn, Sorry to hear you're sick! Tonight we are making a crossword puzzle with our vocab. words (I've changed this from tomorrow until today.) You can go to the puzzlemaker link from my website and create a "criss cross" puzzle. Don't worry about the DOL; you can get this when you return. We're also reading two folk tales in class today: "Why Monkeys Live in Tress" and "Why the Tortoises's Shell is not Smooth." You might be able to find these on the internet.
Mrs. Blackwell, I have read two stories by those titles bbut they may not be the right stories. Summary for "Why Monkeys Live in Trees." The monkey tricked the bushcat and she tried to trick the monkey but only scared him up a tree. Now he is afraid to come down, so are all the other monkeys. Summary for "Why the Tortoises's Shell is not Smooth." The tortoise was going through famine and there was going to be a feast in the sky so he tricked the birds into giving him feathers for wings and then changed his name to All of You. Then once the feast began he asked who it was prepared for and the birds said all of you. So the tortoise pointed out that was his name and he got to eat the feast first and the birdies recieved the leftovers. Then they took back the feathers and flew home and a parrot finally flew down to tell the tortoise's wife to take out all the soft objects in the house so he could jump down. But the parrot tricked him and got all the sharp objects and put them out. When the tortoise jumped his shell shattered and the doctor had to put it back together. The End, Caitlyn core 3
Mrs. Blackwell, It all turns out that I am still sick. It really stinks though. Everything smells like dust to me. I've just watched Lion King II. Now I'm getting started on homework Just checking to see if there is anything special I need to make up. I talked to the sub about D.O.L. She said wait until Mrs. Blackwell gets back so I didn't get it done. Caitlyn core 3
